Jessica Israels is an accomplished singer who has captivated audiences in both jazz and classical music throughout the United States. She performs regularly with the Jessica Israels Trio, the Chuck Israels Sextet, and the Chuck Israels Jazz Orchestra, which has performed at The Detroit Jazz Festival, The Portland Jazz Festival, and performs regularly in Portland, OR. Jessica is a featured singer on several of their recordings, including Garden Of Delights, Second Wind, Concerto Peligrosso and Now I Know. She is also a member of several local professional vocal ensembles, including Resonance Ensemble, Cappella Romana, and Jecca Jazz Ensemble.
Jessica holds a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting from Valdosta State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Western Washington University. Previous noteworthy experiences include performances around the country with groups such as Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops, at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts with Marvin Hamlisch and the National Symphony Orchestra, and at the Florida International Festival with the London Symphony Orchestra. For two years, Jessica was the Assistant Director of Choral Activities at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Jessica is currently the Music Director at St. Gabriel Episcopal Church in Portland. Besides teaching voice lessons at her private studio, she teaches voice at Clackamas Community College. She is also Conductor of the Multnomah Women’s Chorus.
